Course overview
The proportion of professionals who believe technology will be the dominant driver of change in the workplace in the next 18 months.
GetSmarter (Sep, 2020).
The majority of U.S. executives who believe that organizations should take the lead in closing the skills gap and preparing their employees for the future of work.
McKinsey (Jan, 2020).
Duration: 6 weeks
The business landscape has undergone a significant change in recent years. The emergence of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) has been the primary catalyst driving workplace transformation. Nevertheless, the evolution of business goes beyond technology and AI.
To address the future of business design, the MIT Sloan School of Management offers the Leading the Future of Work online short course. The program delves into the various factors that shape the transformation and explores the roles that organizations, employees, government officials, and public policymakers should play in response to these rapid changes. At the center of the program lies the importance of a new social contract — a set of mutual expectations and obligations between workers, employers, communities, and society concerning work and employment relationships. By developing a high-road business strategy that benefits employees and shareholders, you can stay ahead of your competitors while leading your business forward.
Is this course for you?
This program will appeal to individuals seeking insights into the future of work technology and design and the potential impact on their careers or organizations. Business leaders and managers will acquire the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions and implement effective strategies that guide their companies toward the future. Public sector professionals, including policymakers, government officials, and members of civic institutions, will be able to use their new skills to positively influence labor and work development policies. Consultants or specialists in HR transformation, organizational design, business agility, and change management will also benefit from the program, as it provides them with the necessary tools to drive meaningful change within their respective organizations and workforces.
