The real estate market is constantly evolving. Over the past few years, it’s been shaped and reshaped by emerging work and lifestyle trends, environmental shifts, changes in government regulations, a higher cost of living, and migration to and from urban centres. These factors impact interest rates and financing, and supply and demand dynamics, which can influence development and investment opportunities. However, understanding real estate fundamentals will help you anticipate how property prices might change over time.
The Real Estate Economics and Finance online certificate course is designed to equip participants with critical skills in evaluating property investment options. The course focuses on making informed decisions based on sound economic and financial theories, as well as research. The course is led by experts from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and industry professionals, providing guidance on exploring urban real estate markets and applying various valuation techniques to make informed investment decisions.
The course runs for eight weeks and covers sustainable real estate practices, fund management, and the best funding methods for property purchases. At the end of the course, participants will complete a capstone project to showcase their ability to apply theoretical frameworks and evaluate the property development process while identifying real estate opportunities.
